Rhonda Epps

CEO and Co-Executive Director

Rhonda Epps is the visionary CEO and Co-Executive Director of Flourishing Life Youth and Family Services. With an enriching background as an educator for 15 years, Rhonda transitioned into her current role driven by a profound passion for making a direct impact on at-risk youth, adults, and families. Her dedication to fostering positive change in the community is the cornerstone of Flourishing Life’s mission.

Rhonda holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Norfolk State University, a Master of Education in Reading from Regent University, and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech. These academic achievements have equipped her with the knowledge and skills to effectively lead and develop impactful services. Under her leadership, Flourishing Life Youth and Family Services aims to assist individuals in achieving a flourishing life, providing comprehensive and quality care. Rhonda envisions the agency as a premier organization that not only serves but transforms lives. Her unwavering commitment to constant reflection on past achievements and future goals ensures that the agency remains aligned with its mission and continuously evolves to meet the community’s needs.

Rhonda’s drive to make a difference is evident in every aspect of her work, from the creation of supportive environments to the personal connections she fosters with those she serves. She believes in the power of empathy and the importance of providing holistic care that addresses the emotional, mental, and social well-being of those served within our community. In her spare time, Rhonda enjoys creating memories with her family, engaging in crafting projects that fuel her creativity, and exploring her love for music.

Dominique Bonner

Licensed Professional Counselor

Dominique Bonner is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor and co-owner of Flourishing Life Youth and Family Services. Inspired by a shared vision with her co-owner, Rhonda Epps, Dominique joined the organization to drive positive change for at-risk youth, adults, and families in the mental health field. With over a decade of experience, Dominique has a rich background in Intensive In-Home and Mental Health Skill building services. She has held roles as a QMHP C/A and a clinical supervisor, overseeing programs such as Intensive In-Home, Mental Health Skillbuilding, and Therapeutic Day Treatment, as well as providing outpatient therapy to adolescents, women, and couples/families.
Dominique specializes in addressing a range of issues including anxiety, communication problems, depression, rebuilding trust after betrayal, self-esteem, infidelity, mid-life crises, sexual identity/orientation, and divorce/separation. Her approach is centered on helping clients navigate these challenges through personalized support and strategies that foster healing and growth. She holds a B.A. in Sociology, an M.A. in Urban Education: Community Counseling, and an Education Specialist degree, all from historically Black colleges and universities, Norfolk State University and Hampton University.
Driven by a passion for facilitating meaningful transformation, Dominique finds profound satisfaction in witnessing her clients overcome obstacles and build stronger relationships. She is committed to providing a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to share their experiences and make positive changes. Her strength-based approach focuses on leveraging each client’s inherent abilities and creating a nurturing environment that promotes trust and openness. Outside of her professional life, Dominique enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, traveling, and reading.
